Regenerated leather
Regenerated leather is produced from recycled natural leather fibers, made from scraps and residues of bovine hides recovered during tanning.
These fibers are bonded without solvents, compressed, and finished to obtain a homogeneous, stable sheet with properties similar to full-grain leather.
Fewer waste products, less water, less virgin raw material: the production chain is significantly shorter than that of traditional leather.
Why this material is suitable for furniture
It has a firm feel. It retains the characteristic leather smell, that grain recognized by touch. But it is its naturally firm structure that makes it a particularly suitable choice for seating: where traditional leather sometimes requires internal reinforcement to maintain its shape, regenerated leather holds its own. It does not deform. It maintains the line given to it over time, the prominent stitching, the precise drape around a seat.
Maintenance follows the logic of leather: a damp cloth daily, a cream applied twice a year. The material comes from skin, it responds to the same care.
Carlo Contin's choice for the Ninna collection

Produced in Italy, the Ninna collection is assembled by artisans who work wood and leather with the same exacting standards. Available colors
Four shades, each designed to subtly inhabit a contemporary interior.
- Black. The most assertive shade. It matches everything and does not age.
- Bulgarian Red. An earthy, almost mineral shade. Warmth without ostentation.
- White. It reveals the piece's line better than any other. Its presence in a minimalist interior is incomparable — it requires slightly more attentive care.
- Chocolate. The closest shade to natural leather in its palette. Organic, discreet, it settles in without seeking to dominate.
